How good are finger jointed clapboards? Will the finger joints show thru a solid color stain? I’m adding on to my house in CT and have had good luck using the finger jointed 1x material in the past on a few paying projects, but these were painted and will not show as much as the claps. The price dif is .72 a lf for straight grain ceder or .55 for FJ pre primed claps (fJ is all 16′)
