I will be finishing my basement but I have a few questions first.
First I will lay Tu-tuff on floors and walls throughout basement, making sure there is a tight seal, there is no moisture leakage, I had heard that this will reduce the humidity. Please tell me if this is incorrect.
I will then build the walls and then blow cellulos in for insulation.
One of my main concerns is, I have FHA heat, the ducts are in the ceiling, I wanted to extend the ducts down to about 6 inches above the floor, does this make sense? Should I leave the ducts in the ceiling? I will not have a return duct in the basement for fear of sucking the flu gases into the house.
