What do you guys feel is the best way to do white trim? Here’s my dilema. I have to build a whole bunch of cabinets that will be finished white. I also have lots of trim to be finished white as well. I want a quick and durable way to finish them. I thought of using white lacquer, but I am thinking that it will be impossible to cover up nail holes after installation without spraying more lacquer inside the house. Would I be better off spraying white trim paint instead?

Personally,
I like to work with primed fine. Finished paint (which your lacquer would be for sure) trim install is a pain in the rear. Nail hole filling is one thing. I think of prefinished trim installs in a kitchen with the microscopic eye of the persnickity customer.
I feel you'll get a much better job finishing in place.
What I had in mind was to spray on one coat of something and roll on another after installation. Is it possible to lacquer the cabinets and paint the trim and have it all match?
Match?
Well, the painter I use can match almost anything.
The finish might be tough for an exact match because of the spray/roll.
Color and sheen should be good.
