So I want to install a Kozy Heat Fireplace model Z42 into my existing traditional firebox. I know it will fit in width but question the depth and height. Is there any way to tell, without demo, how much room I’ll gain after I tear out the existing firebrick?
In the photos the width at the back is 32″. Width at the front is 41″ (brick facing to brick facing). Net depth is 19″. Hoping a few masons weigh in on this.

I see it's a zero clearance unit with dimensions 42w x 38h x 26d.
