Thinking of putting in a firewood bin, next to my wood stove.
Wood like it to have an exterior door access so I can load it from the woodpile from the outside. It might be 3 ft high 3 ft wide???
Any ideas what kind of exterior door to use?? Want good insulation and
excellent weather seals?? I could build something, but if there is something available commercially I would probably go that way??

Be sure to put a bug zapper inside.
DITTO that suggestion! Many, many spiders, ticks, ants, etal winter in the bark of trees and wood piles. If you bring wood in the house just for the day's fire you don't ahve a problem since the wood is cold and as long as it stays that way the insects remain dormant and stay put. Once they warm up in a multi-day storage location as the poster is suggesting they begin to run all over the place.
There's a movie idea!

How about "THEY CRAWLED OUT OF THE FIREWOOD"?
Most steel / fiberglass door manufacturers wil cut down their doors for a small fee.
Ends up just like a entrance door but smaller. - treshold, seals, jambs all the same.
Obviously a special order. Talk to your supplier. Suprisingly affordable the times I have done it.

Note that it doesn't have to have a threshold -- you can use a "door frame" on all four edges. You can even forgo the hinges and make it lift-out if you want, using screen hangers or some such.

What ever you choose remember to provide a good lock . I know of several home breakins that utilised the wood door for access.
use a ready made HVAC closet door... about 3'0x4'0...

move your woodburner outside to a shed and keep the damn firewood out of the house
they make them,, I have seen alot of people with them, Its like a 2x2 steel door that goes to the front porch where the wood pile is.
