First-time system installation stories?
We’ve no resources for subcontracting out the heating package for our begins-this-spring housebuilding project, and will likely be doing it ourselves.
It looks as if we will be using an LP wall-hung mod-con boiler, heating the walkout lower level with radiant tubing in the slab, and the upper floor with panel rads with TRVs on each.
If you have done this as a first timer, tell us what we can expect.

I haven't seen Rob around in a while.“Well, the election campaign in the country is picking up speed... All the candidates are talking about health care now. Don’t they realize that it’s their campaign speeches that makes us sick?” —Bob Hope

I have done lots of radiant, but more on extremely large commercial projects.“Well, the election campaign in the country is picking up speed... All the candidates are talking about health care now. Don’t they realize that it’s their campaign speeches that makes us sick?” —Bob Hope
That's who we're using.
We are looking forward to the heating part of this job with anticipation. Having watched our plumbing contractors do these for us, we're convinced that it ain't rocket science. My motorcycle is a whole lot more complex than this:

The job location is simply too much of a drive for our regular guys to to and do it for us, and they've got too much work booked for the summer to make them want to make the stretch.
At fire up time, though, they will come out with their combustion analyzer and other tools, and do the startup for us.
Have you done any?
Just the one on our home and maybe a couple others shortly thereafter. '89
