I’m looking for advice on fixing a crack in a basement slab thats 1yr old. The crack is about a 1/4 ” wide max. and comes off a corner. Should I be worried about the slab moving more? What should I use to fill the crack? Thanks in advance

All homes will settle with time and 1 year is the normal time frame for settlement cracks to show up. We use hydraulic or fast setting cement to make repairs. It is available at your local home supply store in small yellow buckets. You may have to make this repair again next year in a different location if your home has not completely settled. You may notice cracks in your drywall and block if you have a basement in the same general area from the settling which is normal. If the floor crack reappears and is wider, in the same general location after the repair call in the experts.
