Flash butting roof to kit-log house wall

An addition is going on a log home, and a 4:12 roof abuts an exterior wall. Something is needed to flash the joint, and we thought this might work, for countering over the step flashing that will be woven with the shingles.
Have you done a roof that abuts a log-house wall? What worked for you?
See the pics for the “reglet” flash scheme, which uses a sawn kerf in the wall, and a flashing with a barbed stab-in leg. The kerf is pumped full of a high quality urethane sealant after the flashing is installed.

That's pretty much how I've done it.
