On a shed porch roof leaning to a wall with vinyl siding: where does the flashing sit with respect to the Tyvek on the wall, and the roofing paper and shingles on the roof? (ie flash over or behind the Tyvek, and over or under the roofng paper and shingles?) Same question at the ledger board.

Under or taped to the Tyvek (taped being a weak second choice) and over the roofing material.
behind .....over......under bent to spring tight..........slight down bend about 3/4" from bottom edge to hold down tighter. Jeff "That's like hypnotizing chickens........."

Jeff has it nailed! Under the Tyvek as high as possible, (at least 8"). Set it over all roofing material a good 6" and don`t foget the crimping bend at the edge to keep it ridgid. If you can`t do the run in one piece, overlap one another by 4" - 6" and throw a bead of silicone or roof cement at the joint.
Best of luck!

Also in lieu of face nailing the apron, I nail down 1" x 3" strips of the flashing material (12" to 16" ctrs. depending on the flashing material and irregularities of the roofing material) where the nails will be covered by the apron. Install the apron flashing and then bend the protruding strips back over the bottom edge of the apron. Snip them off so they overlap the apron to the bend you put into it for rigidity. In high wind areas, you might want to put a pop rivet thru each strip. This way you don't have face nails working themselves back out from exp/cont of the metal.
