Flat (almost) metal roof repair or replace

I was hired to replace a Chippendale railing over a sunroom due to rot. The old posts were mounted through the roof. When I removed the posts I found some rot below. Pictures attached. Where the metal is folded over the edge of the sheathing (T & G) the nails are pulling out some due to dry rot of the wood but are stable. One of the flashings is rusted down to the roof. Can this roofing be repaired and repainted? Or do I advise the homeowner to get the roof replaced?

It looks like a terne roof. If the roof is fairly sound except for a few spots, it's probably worth repairing. Terne is no longer made, but galvanized could be used for any spot repairs. Coat old to new metal joints with Geocel 2315 or similar. Prep and paint the roof with an elastomeric coating.
Thanks for the reply
I've seen a lot through time, I just never saw this before. I've ordered the Geocel and Calbar paint which seems to be the go to metal roof paint in the area for the last 85 years. I always strive to fix things right and you have helped to make that possible. I really apreciate you taking the time.
