I just finished a project that required the use of 1/4 inch hardware cloth. As anyone who has used it knows, it will not stretch like screen wire. It is always sold on a roll. Has anyone developed a technique to flatten this stubborn ,material?

Unroll and re-roll the fabric against the curve on a slightly larger diameter cylinder. Seemed to work for me.
I've found that it helps to flatten it while on a grass lawn. The extra "give" of a lawn helps when I step on it to flatten it out as I unroll it. Especially a lawn that hasn't been in a drought for months on end. Need it to be springy and soft a bit.
