Floating Floor, Floating Underlayment?

I have this idea to have not only a floating floor, but floating underlayment as well, to cut down on sound transmission to the apartment below. I was thinking of foam pad, 1/4″ luan laid loose with 1/8 gap or so, more foam pad, and finally, click flooring. I am guessing that the subfloor would have to be pretty uniform, and am wondering about using 7/16″ or 3/4″ tongue and groove OSB for the underlayment, and about using glue flooring instead of click. Any opinions? Thanks, andy

The subfloor is 150 year old planks with 150 years worth of patches where stairs and registers and other things used to be. Fairly flat and level. I am going to be using click-together bamboo. I did not know about sound board, that's why I haven't considered it. Do you think I can find it at Lowes or Home Depot? Is it designed for use as underlayment? andy
dunno about Lowes ... never went looking for it....
I don't shop home deperate...
my regular yard stocks it...

Mapei makes a peel and stick membrane specifically for this. It is the rather unfortunately named Mapesonic SM. There are several rubber sound isolation mats like the Sound Down, that work very well too. The advantage to using them is that there is no guesswork as to the results you will experience. They are tested and have published STC and IIC sound ratings.
