I’m looking for tips on preparing an existing terrazo floor for installation of a glue down engineered wood floor.
Should I clean the floor using a chemical stripper, sanding or what?
I don’t yet have the manufacturer’s recomendations, which I will follow. I was just wondering if anyone had any preferences.
Thanks.

I'm starting to feel silly.
I don't"get" it.
But then again, that is about par for the course...........
This is an oldie. My experience with gluedown floors over Terrazzo calls for scarifying (is that spelled right?) the floor. I've known some to attach a steel wool pad to a floor buffer first while using a good amount of mineral spirits to get any waxes or other cleaning agents off first.
Next step attach a very course sanding grit to the buffer. You can find 'em in Home Depot. I think they're 3 1/2 grit but I just call it rock paper, because it looks like little sharp angled rocks glued to the paper.
One disc may last 200 square feet for good deep cuts to allow a good adhesive bond, and cost about $ 6.00 each. Hope that helps!
You meant to reply to the OP or 'original poster'.
But somehow I'm thinking that since his post is nearly 7 years old, he may have just figured this out by now!

I rarely pay attention to the reply to button..it's the last poster, correct? Heck I don't know who I'm replying to half the time anyway because I only see the last post when in the reply post mode.
