My builder just suggested floor trusses instead of the Wood I-beams I have read up on them and they seem very intriguing to me especially since I am building a walk out basement that will be completely finished. What are the thoughts of the group. Thanks.

As a builder, I hate floor trusses in any but the most simple of layouts, such as across a garage ceiling to make a bonus room above, etc.
In a complex floor design I find that they are a fight to make work. You have no ability to make adjustments (cuts) for field conditions or changes in design. If there is any discrepancy between foundation and beam supports from the foundation plans and what was actually built, it usually involves some engineer's input and expensive reworking.
If the ceiling is going to be finished, locally at least, firestopping is required for every 1000 sq ft of area.
Unless they are exceptionly tall trusses, most of the mechanicals will still hang below the trusses.
But all these complaints are the builders problem. If your builder is comfortable with them and the price is acceptable to you, there would be no reason not to use them.
