I installed 2×6 T&G spruce decking over 2″ roughcut joists. I used Liquid Nail and 3.5″ galvanized finish nails (through the tongues) to secure. The floor boards have shrunk and now there is some gap between them. What do you recommend to fill the gaps prior to sanding and finishing (stain and seal)? Thanks for your help.

I'm not an expert (just passing through) but I'm not sure you'd want them so tight, wouldn't they retain rainwater and warp? I have a question though - When we finished our deck we wanted to use a tinted sealer, but no one seemed to know of any, now they exist, but seems too late. Since I've painted our deck, is there a way to use a sealer? I don't think an oil-based sealer would penetrate the surface now.
*I wasn't clear in my last message. We used 2x6 T&G decking for an inside flooring. We then plan to finish this surface as the finished floor. Except we now have the problem of the cracks between the boards.
*You did not mention where you live. Climate has an effect on wood. For example if it was installed during a humid time of year and has now dried out but will be exposed to humid conditions again you may not want to fill those cracks as the wood will need them when it expands again. Or, will the climate be controlled in the house?
