Fluid-Applied vs Peel & Stick Air Barriers

What are your opinions regarding the use of fluid applied or adhesive sheet membranes for your air & water barrier for winter installation? (Cleveland – brrchillycoldnwet) My spec calls for fluid applied, and the contractor wants to know if he can substitute peel & stick.

I would have no problem switching out the barrier. We did the same on a multimillion dollar install recently. Ffor the same reason (temperature constraints) just make sure that they aren't substituting for a lesser quality product

I'd prefer the fluid applied as specced. I think there is less chance of it being done wrong. Applying flashing tape has become a specialty job around here because it's done wrong so much.
