Latest on my foam saga. Talked to a Polyurethane sprayer today and he says he uses a thin layer of Poly to seal, followed by wet packed cellulose. Saves money.
But – does it work? have heard nothing from anyone here about such a scheme.

Takes about 2 1/2 inches of PUR foam to make a type 2 VB and the cels would not be able to match the foam's R rating per inch.
Can't see the benefits...... half of two different products do not make a whole except in your pockets.

when he says to "seal it" is he talking about obtaining an effective VB, or just fillin' in the cracks to cut air infiltration?
