I put in a new entry door and need to insulate it. I would normally use fiberglass for this but I say a spray foam insulation that is made especially for windows and doors. It states that it will not warp.
Just wondering if anyone had any experience with this stuff and if it really works as advertised.
Thanks for any replies,
Bill

I am presuming that you want to insulate the cavity between doorframe and rough opening, when you say "I want to insulate it."
Use one of the foam products that come in a can and have a thin tube that fits to the nozzle, so you can insert the tip into the crack and place the foam where needed. Make sure the product is one made for the purpose, and has the a low-rise or low-pressure-when-risen feature, so your frame isn't bowed inward by the expanding material.
Dap makes a pretty good one that cleans up with water. Others make them in polyurethane, which don't clean up as easily. Of course, if you are good at it, and place just the right amount where you need it, you won't need to deal with clean up at all.
Bill,
You want miniamal expanding foam. comes in a can as described earlier in this forum. Triple expanding foam will definitely bow your jambs, but even minimal will at times. If the door was shimed properly though have at it, you shouldn't have any problems. Good Luck
