Rock included($.14 ft/sq board cost), scrap out the job when done, broom clean, antique textured ceilings, smooth closets and garage......$.60 ft/sq. NE Ohio....at least that's what I pay.( and NO I would not touch it for that, not even double that)

*$22.00 a sheet if you carry it where you need it to be, and get rid of the scrap. $30.00 a sheet if you want them to do it all. Raleigh Durham area North Carolina.

*Southeast PA Same as Keith, around .60 to .65, no textured ceilings, though.

*Holy Oy Chrysler!Up here in Maine (Southern) the rule of thumb is $1/sq. ft. for large jobs (over 40 sheets). Price goes up per square foot as the job gets smaller... I've been told to charge as much as 3.00-3.50/ sq. ft. for a 7-sheet entryway. Suddenly glad I'm here... Gerard

*Does the $.65 sq ft include material? That seems a little low if it does. I have one of those estimate books that give you a round about price (you can get it at the lumber yard) and it said for labor of hanging drywall, the material and all the finish work was $1.60 a sq ft. I qouted a job that was 1800 sq ft and came up with $2880 from the book. I rounded it up to $3000 and I didn't get the job. (the home owner had their brother-in-law put the addition on and they decided that $3000 was out of their budget. They did it themselves from what I hear) I really can't see doing that job for any less than what I came up with. In fact I started thinking the job was under bid. This topic is of real intrest what do others have to say? Oh yea, I live in the Metro Detroit area

*As a GC I use $1/sf for my estimates, as that is what it will cost if we have to do it ourselves. Our subs will do it for .75 or less depending on the job of course. Small jobs should never be figured by the sf.

*Panty.... Your job could be hung and taped in two the three days max. $2880 would have been good money... $1000 smackers a day for your labor.near the stream,aj

*I can see that I live in poor country. I hang my head. .08 to hang and .18 to finish . My last rock cost me .15 to buy. Lets see that came up to .41. Of course small jobs are not done for that. They dont belong in square footage pricing.
