A natural gas company employee suggested I look into a forced air gas hot water furnace. This will be for new home construction I have not been able to find any information or brand names to check this out any further. Have any of you experts heard of, or have you had any exreriance with this type of heating system.
Thanks Don

Hot water.... Hot water tank or boiler.
Hot air......me, a furnace, a f**t.
Seriously... In regard to home heating..A new "tiny" trend in easy to heat homes is to oversize water heater and steal heat from it by circulating water on demand through a heat exchange coil installed in a ducted AC forced air system.
You won't find too many HVAC contractors doing it for various reasons of theirs including the fact that you're not buying the big mark up item, the furnace.
Have a good day,
jack : )
*Don,I think the heatying system you're talking about is produced by Lennox (among others). They call it the Complete Heat system. It consists of a high recovery rate 30gal. water heater (closed combustion) and heat exchanger loop running to an air handler (forced air exchanger). It's combined efficiency rating is 90%. The units can be separated or even augmented with additional air handlers. It's a versatile system. I'll be installing it in my house near the end of the year.David
