I am in the process of getting a permit to build a deck in Ohio and chose Fortress Evolution steel framing. I purchased the master engineering plan that is available for the product. The master plan is very conservative and includes all details for building the deck. Unfortunately, even though the plan is stamped by an engineer in my state the city still wants a site specific plan stamped. The city acknowledged all of the information which is needed is available in the document and suggested I have a structural engineer use the master plan to draw my site specific plan and stamp it. Has anyone else used this product and had similar issues? If so what ultimately happened? Thank you in advance.
