Man are you lucky. Where'd ya find it?
I have and love this saw. I always find myself apologizing for it too, but Iam glad there is someone else in the world that appreciates this saw.
The only real complaint I've ever had about it is that little slot for the height adjustment screw gets clogged full of sawdust and prevents taking the blade all the way down. I have learned to calean this out every Friday as well as take the air compressor blower nozzle to it and 3-in-1 the adjustment threads. AND keep a DECENT, SHARP blade in it.
I have had mine for about 5 years or more (?) in and out of the truck.
PT 2x4's, hardwood, softwood, plywood, MDF; I've built cabinets, mortise-and-tenon, half lap joints, 45's, 22.5's you name it, I've basically beat this saw up.
It's never been out of square or bound up. For the $215 I paid for it, I'd say I got my money's worth.
I am assuming I will buy the Bosch or a Hitachi (probably Hitachi) if/when this one dies unless I can find one like you did!
of all places there is a pawn shop/jewelry repair place here in town. so for Christmas i was having my wifes ring fixed. there sat this saw in the box with the banding still around it. i have been keeping my eyes out for a used one on cl ,but all anyone has is that little 100. cheapo.
got the wife a Xmas present and me one too, thats called multi tasking!!
someone here bought the new model and says it was a pc of junk.

It sure looks like it is (a pc of junk). Maybe they realized they had put out a pretty good product and had to back it up with a POC to make up for all the good.No Coffee No Workee!
I know what you mean with the blade lowering thing. I cut a very small window where the dust collects and all is good.
I wonder if they test stuff at the factorys! All makes that is!
I have that saw bought it based on FHB review - works great.

You should try their 18v cordless impact driver, I like that too - $69. everyday.
Jim
i bought a bunch of their cordless stuff this summer so my wife could have a cordless hedge trimmer.so ihave some reg batts and lit ion.
your recommendation on the impact is perfect timing,my milwaukee is about to bite the dust. i'll grab a impact and see what i think,if i like it as well as the saw i'll have to start bragging on that 1.larry YOU ONLY NEED TWO TOOLS IN LIFE - WD-40 AND DUCT TAPE. Recent JLC impact driver test, the blue Ryobi model with LI battery finished 2nd only to the Milwaukee in run time both warm and cold.
Beat out quite a few "professional" tools.
I think you will like it - little smaller than the Milwaukee.
Jim Never underestimate the value of a sharp pencil or good light.
That bts 20 is a GREAT saw, guy I work with has one and it gets used for everything cant beat it, its great and then for 200.00 you cant beat that. However I wanted one for that price so I went and got the bts 21 because that was what available, TERRIBLE, I was so pizzed I couldn't get it back to the store fast enough.
Don't you think if they offered such a good product for such a good price and made it year after year they would have a stronghold on the tablesaw market for the most part? Its such a shame.
BTW I guess I should say congrats on the great find but I'm insanely jealous.
