I have been asked to give a price to frame up a pre fab. Viceroy home.
The customer is a good client of mine and can not get any one to do the job in cottage country Ontario.
I have Framed complete houses from scratch with no problems but am not sure of the process for prefabed homes.
Can anyone suggest a per sq, ft. price to asssemble one of these projects.
This is about 2000sq. ft. cottage with a large front glass wall.

I can tell you where I would start - Manufacturers of such homes always provide an assembly guide - in print or a video. Some OK, some better, some well domne, but they give you an idea what you will be doing, so you can estimate your time from there. A phone conversation with their tech rep - if he has actuall experience - is also worth while. For instance, when i started using Fypon rialing systemms, I made a trip to the factory in PA, had linch with the VP, and then spent a couple of hours with their reps and assemblers in shop, watching and asking questions.
I was there rprimarily to fiond out is i wanted to put my rep behind their products, but I also learned a lot about assembling to help me bid the work from the woman who headed up the fabrication shop.
