Framing against poured concrete wall
Need to frame a wall against a poured concrete wall in a basement. Framed wall will be finished in sheetrock. My plan was to glue/tape 1″ extruded foam insulation panels to the concrete wall, bottom plate in PT lumber 1″ from this, regular lumber for studs, drywall over this. Does this sound OK, suggestions? Thanks in advance!

Sounds good to me.
it is OK, but you would have larger rooms if you were to use strapping ( 1x4 furring strips) directly over the foam and used glue and tapcons or the GRK concrete screws to anchor the furring through the foam into the crete. Could even go to 1-1/2" insulation easily

Piffin's right, it'll make a better wall because the foam will help control moisture and you can shim out any inconsistencies in the pour. Shouldn't be any hassles with the wiring either, just let them tunnel through the foam under the strapping and cover with nail plates.

I wouldn't put furring strips against the wall I would do it the way you have planed
If you attach the firing to the wall then your walls will only be as straight square and
plum as the poured wall.
I agree with zzzzz - your plan sounds just fine.Justin Fink - FHB Editorial

I use 1 1/2" metal studs and track with 1/2" channel thru the slot.Takes less room, easier to get the walls dead plumb and faster. You can insulate and then screw the rock.Electical and plumbing go thru the ready made holes in the studs.
