Okay.. I bought a craftsman framing gun off Ebay. I have had horrible expiriences with craftsman in the past but i bought this because it looked nearly identical to the paslode powermaster and the duofast mainframe, so i figuerd they were probably made by paslode (I later found out that some tiwaneese company made it).. oops
The gun has held up great so far untill now…
Somtimes when i pull the trigger, nothing fires but air shoots out the trigger assembly and also out of the nose. (the gun is only about a month old so i would guess that the rubber is fine)
I took it apart..(pardon my lack of proper vocabulary): I took off the head(part where air exuasts) and found that the piston(which attatches to the driver) seems to be returning too far up, and as a result, the O-ring of the piston, rises above the chamber and allows air to escape around it, exiting to the trigger assembly and out the nose..
This is only my un-educated guess of what is actually happening, anybody have any clues as to what this might be? or how to fix it? has anyone else had a similar problem?

saw a gun with similar problem like that...
a paslode repair shop fixed it... a part was missing - some take up washer... can't tell you any more..
Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming
WOW!!! What a Ride!
Sky,
Go to the doctor! The framing nail went in your mouth and is lodged in your brain.... Ive seen this happen before.
