Hello all. I am looking for information on how to frame a 46 x 46 open beam (4×10 48″ OC) hip roof on the ground before craning into place. I would be interested in hearing of alternate methods as well. Would you frame interior walls to finished height before craning the roof into place? Your wisdom is appreciated.

you didn't mention the pitch, which tells us the height, sisnce your probably going to need scaffolding anyway, I say forget the crane and set up scaffolding in the middle, 24' walkplanks from there to exterior wall.
no turn left unstoned
Sorry about the long time.
5/12 pitch, 4x14 hips with 4x10 rafters, 4 bearing posts hidden in partition walls.
Would you frame the partition walls before setting the hips and rafters?
What method would you use for connecting the hips (square roof); bracket or thru-bolt countersinked?
