   Using OSB for all exterior walls, the door is located on the gable end of the structure.

   Just finished building a garage yesterday. I ran 1x6 in the "jamb" position and then faced that with 1x4 as a backer for the aluminum trim.

   Worked great.

   You might wanna/oughta check with an engineer to see if you need OSB on the inside, too.

   As for the trim, just use an overwide 2x for the head sill and jambs and bump it out a half inch further than the thickness of the siding. Wrap the 2x with tin, stick the j-track on with chewing gum, Velcro¯ or however ya like to do that, and butt the plastic into it like a corner post.
