Just pay me the shipping and the parts are yours.
The throttle died on me and the repair shop/dealer disassembled to see if it could be fixed – but $125 to fix a 20 yr old (approx) chainsaw made no sense so daddy has himself a new Husky. I inherited the H40 from my f-in-l, and he doesn’t know how old it is as he bought it used.
You get the H40 as it is, disassembled, with the 16″ bar, chain and all.
Let me know where you are at and I’ll figure the cost to ship it out to you via her majesty’s postal service – if you are outside Canada, I’ll mark the package “gift” with nominal value so that you can avoid paying duty/customs fees. We can discuss how to get your $ to me for the shipping – mailing me a money order would be the easiest way.
If you are in the Toronto area, we can discuss how you can pick it up.
Cheers, Paul

I'll take the whole shebang.
I guess I should ask first whether all the parts are there ???
And what was wrong with it ? (That was going to cost 125 dollars to fix...)
Hi Luka,I can't say for sure what was wrong with it. My f-in-l took it in to the shop. He picked up the pieces and the new saw for me after he was told it would be about the $125 to fix it up - parts and labour. The repair shop just put the disassembled saw in a box and that's what I have now. All the parts should be there - I can't see Brian (repair guy) taking anything.Re: what was wrong ... the chainsaw would start, but the throttle wouldn't kick in to rev it up and get the chain going. That's about as techical as I can get for what was wrong with it prior to Brian taking it apart. It was several months ago now, so all I remember was that it was an engine issue, not a broken throttle switch. It always was a bit sluggish in cutting. Brian tuned it up for me last summer and told me I had a year of life left in it. He was bang on.Honestly, you're rolling the dice on trying to get it to work again. It may be useful to you if you need spare parts for another saw.Let me know where I'd be sending if you still want it. You can email me direct at pvoorn at yahoo.com.Cheers, Paul.
I'll take a stab at making it work. But I really want it for parts.Especially the coil. There are a couple other important parts as well, that I need. That is why the concern over whether all the parts are actually there or not. I can't afford to waste the money if the parts I need end up not being there.Sounds like it's worth taking a chance.=0)I'll email you.
And Thank you.=0)
Your welcome. See the reply email to you.
