I figured that I better put the disclaimer right there in the title so it didn’t raise unrealistic hopes.
I just bought a backpack style leaf blower (Stihl) that easily replaces the 2 slightly broken leaf blowers that I’ve been using.
So yeah, I’ve got 2 leaf blowers that are free for the taking:
A hand-held 2-cycle like this one: http://www.sears.com/shc/s/p_10153_12605_07179474000P?keyword=leaf+blower. The stud that holds the muffler broke off and needs to be tapped out to re-connect the muffler. If, however, you don’t care about how loud it is (I do since I have neighbors), it actually works better than new. A well-designed exhaust system usually improves 2-stroke performance. In this case, a loose muffler lets the engine rev to new levels of performance.
A 3-wheeled leaf blower like this one: http://www.sears.com/shc/s/p_10153_12605_07177034000P?keyword=leaf+blower. It’s not that brand, but it looks similar and the one I have is 5 HP. Actually, it’s supposed to be a 3-wheeled blower, but the welds holding the front wheel broke off so now it has 2 wheels. It can be used as is since it balances pretty good on 2 wheels, but if you have access to a welder, the front wheel, which I still have, does make it more convenient.
One last catch… They’re not worth shipping so if you want either or both, you’ll have to pick them up. I live in Scotch Plains, NJ.
If you want them, please post here first. I can provide my address and phone offline.

Hmm, not even a sarcastic quip or an off-topic comment. I guess the leaf blowers are headed for the dump, if we had one.
Don, a trip to the curb will save you the disposal cost.A Great Place for Information, Comraderie, and a Sucker Punch.

They will be gone in a flash if you leave them by the curb. Put a "free" sign on them.
they'll go even faster with a forsale / make offer sign...
Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming<!----><!----><!---->
WOW!!! What a Ride!Forget the primal scream, just ROAR!!!
Then the less honest folks would pick them up for sure. "Free" sign let's the honest person know they can take them home.
I'm not driving to NY to pick up a leaf blower even if it was brand new in the box.Does that make you feel better? If you were closer I would have jumped.
Does that make you feel better?
Yes, in fact it does! It took me a moment to "get it", but thanks for the sarcastics quip. There's something about a thread with 1 and only 1 post in it that just looks forlorn and forgotten. Now I can move on with my life :-)
It's kind of a pain but I take unwanted items to Salvation Army
and they give me a receipt and I claim it as a donation on my tax return.
We also have a veterans organization who will come to your house and pick up the items in their truck and it's still a tax deduction
oh ma i need one or both for my company, I don't have money to get a new one.
Why do you have to live in NJ!?!?!?!?!?!
I'm so angery now >:(
LOL.
Don't be angery, be happery!
I know, but it's just such a perfect oppertunity
