I,am having a new home built with a free standing 24x26x10 carport attached to the house by an eight feet wide by twelve feet long covered breezeway. The foundation for this carport will be two courses of 8×16 cinder blocks on ten inch thick footing with fill dirt and four inch slab. There are eight post not sure of post size yet, probably will be 3×3 or 4×4 one quarter inch wall steel tubing, to be boxed with wood for a finished post.
