I am seeking GOOD LOOKING french doors with steel skins & steel jambs.
Does anyone know of either nationally distributed or regional (southern california) brands ??
I unfortunately find the Stanley stuff to be cheap looking on the detailing & overall look and feel.
The aluminum clad doors from Kolbe & others will not hold up, aluminum is too soft.
What I am “protecting” against is an aggressive Siberian Husky (my furry termite). She has reduced 2x4s and 1/2″ plywood to splinters, steel (not aluminum) is probably my best hope. And “No”, the dog must stay, so please no wisecracks !
Thanks.

Tom checkout a local commerical door installer there are some metal french doors on the market finish is up to you.You may have to go to a half lite and install a big kick plate (stainless like the ones in a hospital) good luck with the dog email if i can help
*I agree, they may not be the most beautiful doors, but a commercial door company can set you up with very good steel doors with full lite, possibly divided. My rep got me 16 ga. steel reinforced doors that jails use. The full light would remove the strength, but they could figure out something. Only concern is that they would look no better than Stanley. How about fiberglass, or wood doors you apply marine grade epoxy to. You may have to refinish the door every year, but it's your dog not your spouce.
