Ridge Hooks – $75 + shipping, PC shears for fiber cement siding, used about 1 hour – $100 + shipping. Ridge hooks are shown in the attached photo on garage roof. They adjust to just about any angle roof and were used just for this job.

Prescriptive codes don't address the connection at less common angles, so base the connection off more typical ones using bolts, structural screws, blocking, and steel tension ties.
