Julian I may take most of the log working tools, I have a log cabin repair to do in the spring. I was supposed to do it already but fall sat in too quick (overnight).
I will get back with you tommorrow. Any other tools for log work?

Call me and I'll get you his phone number. Other than what was listed, they had a Makita 16" circ saw that I bought for $250 and they had some misc precision tools - almost machinist stuff. He'll be happy to know someone is interested - great deals, but the chain mortiser might be a tuff sell here in the detroit area. Thanks,Julian
I would have taken the 16" saw in a minute if you posted that.
I am very interested in the chain mortiser, thats what I need to cut the old logs out of the existing wall.
I am very sorry for your loss. I am in Michigan too, so this won't be a hard transaction. Maybe 3 hrs from Detroit.
Matt
Not my loss actually - he's not even really a friend - I just met the guy and bought a bunch of Festool stuff from him and told him I'd post his timber stuff here to give it a wider audience.Figured it would help him sell the stuff without having to give it away. (and at the prices they are asking, it's as good of a deal as you could hope for as a buyer)Julian
I'll get a hold of you tommorrow for contact info.
Matt
The drill guide is a pro tool drill stand GDP 460 ASeen here:http://www.timberwolftools.com/tools/protool/P-GDP.htmlHe's got it with 2-4 long matching auger bits.Julian
Hey Stilletto - you interested in the drill guide?Got another breaktimer wanting the contact info and not sure if I should wait for you to call.Let me know,Julian
I am mainly interested in the Mortiser.
Money talks so don't hesitate to give the number away for any of the tools. I have to get some things in order here.
I was planning on doing the job in the spring and wasn't going to get money until then. So I am trying to contact the HO for a small deposit, which shouldn't be an issue. I think he's out of town this week so I'll call you when I can get the money around.
Matt
Ok,had a few folks interested in both items, so I'll handing off the guy's number. Thanks for letting me know.Julian
I purchased the drill guide and auger bits. I believe the other items are still available.
