Hello I am putting up some crown and I have a couple of locations that I am not sure to stop the crown or keep going with some funky angles because its a renovation I have some interesting ceiling contours. There are three different locations each with two pictures attached. Location 1 is Fig 1A and 1B, Location 2 is Fig 2A and 2B, and Location 3 is Fig 3A and 3B. Any advice or opinions is appreciated!

Google this
“gary katz installing crown molding”
There’s a series of videos by Gary Katz.
Also, look to his website and also ThisisCarpentry.com
With what you have shown……
Good Luck.
In simple terms, those bullnose corners would be enough to drive a novice to drink.
But on the videos and at the Carpentry site /and Gary’s site you will learn a lot on how to deal with the transition from level to rake and vaulted angles.
If you do undertake this challenge, please stop back with the tales and pictures!
Thanks.
Thank you! I did get the bullnose on normal outside corners figured out thanks to Finish Carpentry TV on youtube and this tool https://a.co/d/9xbSySK. I will check out Gary for the angles.
In a perfect world when you transition a level running crown (ceiling) to one that goes up a vaulted ceiling, you use a different size crown that will perfectly match the contour of the level run.
If you have ever tried to run a sort of cove eave trim on the outside of a house under the soffit you’d see what I mean.
Those wall ceiling/ceilings you showed had more angles than a Philadelphia lawyer!
Calvin I love the lawyer joke! The Gary Katz Videos are very helpful and I learned alot watching them. Thank you! Here are some pics on what I decided to do with some of the angles.
More fun than one man should have.
Tell me you’re in Ohio, I have to see this finished.
Im in Northern Alabama if you are ever down here but I'll send pics. My main issue now is how to return crown into glass shower door with no header (glass goes to ceiling) on two walls in my master, or just stop them where I did. Pics attached. Looks kinda weird especially since my baseboard can wrap and return easier because it takes up like 3 1/2" to do a 45deg return and even more to do like a 22.5deg.
I have no suggestions other than make the corner turn and return itself to the end wall (4-1/2)”. Long point on top of crown near flush with the corner…….
Sorry for the confusion……neighbor lost power.
You get what I mean?
Unless you want the crown in the shower? Now that would be one fancy axx’d shower.
