Furnace blower turn on temperature?
I have a Carrier 58TUA furnace. I note there is a normal startup sequence such that when the thermostat triggers the furnace, the burners in the furnace turn on. Then, after a delay, the furnace blower turns on. Is it possible to set a temperature for the heat exchanger that turns on the blower at that temperature – say 120 F? Do furnaces typically have a thermostatic control that turns on the blower after the heat exchanger reaches a certain temperature?
Thanks.

After trying a few more search phrases, I answered my own question with this - there is such a control in furnaces.
That article describes the "fan/limit switch" used in older furnaces. Not applicable to the 58TUA from what I can tell.
Older "conventional" gas
Older "conventional" gas furnaces have a thermostat (referred to as a "fan/limit switch") that turns on the blower. These are usually somewhat adjustable. The switch would be a box in attached to the outside of the heat exchanger above the burners.
But such setups have probably not been used for 20 years. Newer units use an electronic setup and the details will vary with vendor.
