OK JG - The problem is I need more information here - How B-I-G is this room. Tons of natural light or just a tiny window hidden by a big fir tree? Are we going all new here or are you working around objects that you've already got. Is this a brand new house or is it a century home? Hardwood, broadloom or area rugs in here? Is the colour scheme set? Are you a big fan of clean, sleek and contemporary? Or are you more Victorian at heart? Formal, informal or somewhere in between.
Believe it or not, these things are really going to count...not much good suggesting a large pine armoire or an oversize welsh dresser if you're black leather sofas and marble coffee tables.
