I’m a novice to home construction. My wife and I went by our new home that’s under construction and we noticed these holes/gaps in the roof sheathing. Is it normal for these to be so big?
thanks!

Expansion gapping of a 1/4 to a 1/2” between sheets is normal, and temporary sheeting to work on the roof might be what you show. But if they’re going to felt and shingle over the above, it’s wrong.
In general, it is not normal for large holes or gaps to be left in the roof sheathing during home construction.
It would be best to consult with a professional contractor or inspector to evaluate the situation and determine whether any corrective action is needed.
