I’m trying to get a ball park estimate for building a 26×36 Cape Cod style garage built on a poured 4″ concrete slab. It would have cement siding, standing seam metal roof, and a normal number of windows. The garage would have electric run from the house (twenty feet away) to a 100 amp panel. No electrical outlets, insulation or drywall – Just a bare shell. Does $45 – 50 a square foot seem right – seems high to me. This is what I’ve been quoted by a General Contractor in Northern Virginia.
