I want to install a new drain in my garage. I have a concrete floor and block walls. Any suggestions on the best approach? I definately want to spill out the block wall onto a splash plate on the yard. Any advise on the diameter of pipe and slope of run? Best way to bust-up and repair concrete? Thanks .

I did something similar when I installed a main drain in my pool. I rented a gas powered concrete saw and cut two parallel slots across the bottom of the pool. Then I rented a whacker electric hammer and pulverized the concrete between the slots. Both operations were pretty easy -although quite dusty. I then was able to lay 2" PVC pipe in the resulting trench. I used a large coring drill to get through the concrete side of the pool which extended below the bottom. When I was done laying the pipe I filled the slot with vinyl patching concrete. I didn't have to worry about slope or pipe diameter, but the drain in my garage is 4 inch pipe with a drop of 1 feet over twelve feet of run. Hope this helps.
