If you are determined to paint a concrete floor, particuarly one which receives vehicular traffic, use good quality materials. Two mfrs: Stonhard and Tnemec both make good epoxy base materials for this purpose. Concrete must be cured thoroughly or mfr will not warranty the performance of product- the "patch test" is normally used to determine this, but concrete should be at least 28 days old and surface prep in accordance w/ mfr product recommendations,

The heat from tires and catalytic converter will cause any standard paint to flake off the concrete. As Fred wrote, the only reliable cpncrete paint is epoxy. As an alternative, you may wish to use a stain sealer for concrete.

Hi Pammy My garage floor is concree also - I painted it with an interior/exterior latex floor paint. That was about 8 years ago - it could probably be done again but it still lookes pretty darn good especially considering this is in Ontario where the roads are salted all winter
Hi Pammy, About 3 years ago, I painted my garage floor with a latex floor paint. It still looks pretty good - not perfect maybe, but we don't do much out there except park the cars. And just to let you know, this is in Ontario, Land of Ice, Snow and Road Salt!
PS Check the manufacturer's application guide re temperature etc.
Best Luck
*If ya never painted the floor before dont do it now.Stain it,frist ya have to acid wash it they have it already made up in a gallon jug so ya dont have to guess at it or ya can make it up your self. After ya wash it ,put baking soda on the floor work it around then wash it off .After it has dried you can roll or brush on the stain. After the stain has dried you want to seal it.There alot of diffrent kinds of sealer i use jasco my self and add shark tooth too the sealer make a nonslip floor and still kinda smooth.20 years from now it will still be the same.We painted a shop floor before and if ya go with paint acid wash the floor frist no matter what ya do.This gives the pain or the stain something to bond too. What ever ya do dont cut a corner or ya going to pay for it in time prices always go up in years what coat 200 bucks today will be 300 or 400 in a few years so ya need to acount for that also. What ever ya do good luck
