OK I’m lost. I need to make room in the garage for better organization but I don’t know where to start. I would like to add 2 more shelf units but I don’t have the room with my current set up.
I’m thinking of burying the big table saw a radial arm saw in the back but I know as soon as I do I will need one or the other. I only use them for cabinet work and special projects. I don’t make cabinets only repairs when needed. It’s nice to make dados on a larger saw or radial than on my Bosch.
Part of the problem is I also need room for my fishing gear. I want 1 shelf just for that. It’s a bad addiction but I love fishing.
If anybody has any ideas please let me know. Pictures will help too. I understand if you don’t want your shop pics out on the web.
Thanks Jeremy

I built this litte room in the garage about 7' tall. That way I can pile stuff on top, between the trusses.

I'm in a 2 car garage and it's full. Between the tools, lawnmower, snowblower and fishing gear it's packed. Maybe I should sell the table saw and radial arm. But if I do I know I will regret it. I also have my 2 mechanic rollaways in there.

Nope. I have the boat in the fenced in part of the yard. I'm thinking of putting the table saw against the wall and build a shelf above and around it to make up some unused space. Or, maybe take the legs off the radial arm and store i on top of the table saw. I only use them a few times a year. But I know if I sell them I will never buy them again. And That's when I'll need them.

Kinda hard to make suggestions when we don't know the size/layout of the space, and/or the list of its contents.
Do you keep cars in this garage also?
I'm trying to picture how much #### you must have in order to fill a two car garage completely.

a place i like to use in the garage for seldom used items ,is to build about a 18" wide shelf above the garage door, usally can get a foot to 2' high area and it's wasted space. larry
if a man speaks in the forest, and there's not a woman to hear him,is he still wrong?
I don't know your set-up but here are a few options:
1. Fabricate and attach a small shelving unit to interior side of any existing man door.
2. Remove an existing window , and fabricate shelving into that space.
3. Remove interior sheathing and install shelving between existing studs.
4. Remove legs from your radial arm saw and build a cabinet on locking casters to rmount saw to. Cabinet can be fitted with drawers and/ or open shelves.
5. Fabricate "drop-down" shelving units that fit between ceiling joists.
6. Attach pulleys to your existing ceiling and fabricate a shelf or box that can be raised out of the way and/ or lowered when needed.
I hope this helps.
