I am looking for some plans to build a garage that matches my house, a circa 1912 story-an-a-half bungalow. I’ve checked Old House Journal’s Historic House Plans, but no luck. Any suggestions??

Take a slow drive around the neighborhood? Find other homes built circa same year and in the same style, what do they have?
Or, just draw up a standard frame and throw in some period details.

Here are several different styles of garage plans you might want to look at. And there are companies like this that custom-make garage doors that would help match the style of your house. Good luck with your project!

*We are planning on building an new "old" house, and got a great book of designs from "Country Designs, P.O. Box 774, Essex, Conneticut 06426" ph 860-767-1046. Their designs are a bit earlier than yours (late 1800's) but with a little modification they should work.Best of luck.
