garden bed low fence post depth
Hi,
I live in Cambridge, MA and wanted to install a garden bed low fence with horizontal cedar boards at a height of 2-3 feet and wanted to find the minimum depth the fence post needs to be. I have also heard about wrapping pressure treated wood in plastic to avoid frost heave. The beginning of the fence will but up perpendicular against the foundation wall and am concerned about digging near it to place the initial fence post. In addition I was hoping to space out the posts 10 feet and attach some support board to the horizontal cedar boards halfway between the posts (5 feet) to keep them from sagging. Any thoughts would be appreciated.

I have no idea how deep for your posts in your location but,
At the foundation end, cantilever the boards past your last real post and tie the boards together at the end with your faux post.
