I’m looking at used ovens and came accross this one but am not sure ifI can fix it.

I asked him what he meant by “temperature sensor has some inconsistencies”
And he emailed back with, “it usually takes a very long time to heat up. And sometimes it doesn’t reach to the desired temperature”.
This a gas stove.
Should I just look for one that works and pay more?

I would be very interested to figure this one out....my stove does the same thing, It's NG and very old, but until I moved it, it had worked fine....
At least you know what's wrong with it. The other sellers might not be so forth coming. If the sensor was just slightly out of adjustment like reading 300F when it was set at 350F you can usually adjust it.If you take the control knob off and look at the control shaft you might find the shaft to be hollow. Get a tiny flat screwdriver and put into the hole about 2 inches down you will feel a screw. Adjust it one way or the other to increase or decrease the temp. If you need a new control they can be very pricey on some models.
Then again, buy a new stove and get a warranty.

For $10 buy it and see what shakes out...

"Well what I know is that it usually takes a very long time to heat up. And sometimes it doesn't reach to the desired temperature. And so we changed appliances because we needed a consistent oven for the Holidays. I am also not 100% set on the price."
Not 100% set on the price? I think I could get it for free. He just wants it out.
But still. I could end up with a worthless oven I'll have to get rid of.
There is a place in town that takes them.
I've seen someone adjust the temp behind the knob so i know it is one thing to check.
Maybe he'll pay me to take it!

when i worked in the business it usually meant you needed a new control , depending on cost not the end of the world
Thanks! I think I'm going to pass on this one.
