GE Profile gas range Timer Does not display

I have a brand new GE Profile Gas Range model PGS930YPFS. When using the timer function the clock continues to be displayed on the front panel. I have contacted GE and they gave me a couple of suggestions to try and none of them worked. I finally got them to admit that on this model the timer does not display. I find that hard to believe. How is one to use the count down timer function and not be able to see it? Can anyone confirm that this model range does not display the timer? Or after setting the timer – how do I see it?

It's weird that a brand new range wouldn't show the timer. Have you tried reaching out to other users who have the same model? Maybe they've figured out a workaround or know if this is normal for this range. It's definitely not ideal to set a timer and not be able to see it counting down.
