We are going to do a kitchen remodel, and my wife liked the Gerber kitchen faucets shown at a local plumbing supply showroom. She liked the style, but also the fact that they were all metal. I asked the “salesperson” about the durablity, and she expectly said good. I myself had never heard of them, but I am not a professional. We try to purchase products that last. Let me hear your comments.
Thanks!

I used to work for DANZE. The parent company purchased Gerber several years ago (they wanted to acquire the porcelain part of the company). If the faucets are essentially DANZE w/the Gerber name stamped on, then she is correct. They are VERY heavy for their size because of the metal content (they use special brass etc). I replaced Mother's kitchen faucet, my brother got a handsfree Parma kitchen faucet (after Mother was thru testing it), the faucet & towelbar in my small bathroom remodel thread is also DANZE.
I like them. (disclaimer, I used to work in DANZE customer service...which has since moved to Canada).
Yes indeedy, just another day on the funny farm. After giving a stern warning, "leave the traps alone" to Kitty's uncomprehending visage, a deafening SNAP 15 minutes later found the snapped peanut butter laden trap 5 ft from where it was set. Kitty was spotted 20ft away in a defensive position, constantly licking her nose. Darn dog...
I might add that once you step out of the "ordinary" (that is, brands/styles not avail at nationwide orange home supply stores) your level of availability and warranty decreases and the $ go up, usually.
As far as the faucet(s), if you have a ceramic cartridge you should be okay. That is, the ceramic part of the faucet cartridge will last you the longest and you will have the least leaks/issues. It lasts a lot longer than rubber washers. It can be tough enough to grind up small rust particles and rubber just cant do that.
For any designer/manufacturer the product is only as good as the design and after you have turned the faucet on/off 1,000 times are you going to be able to tell if it was made well or not.
P.S. I had a gerber in my first house and it was good. In any case, if you go with that, or not, feel good about your choice. Its your house.
