I would appreciate any feedback from users of CST Berger Gizmo II laser line level. I am looking to purchase one of these units to level and plumb cabinets, wainscoting, tiling etc…..your comments will be appreciated.

I've got a Gizmo III. It's a II with an extra plumb beam (don't ask me why).
I've used a couple of dot projecting lasers, and they're fine, but I really like the lines better for cabinets and doors, or anywhere I don't want to pop a chalk line.
I like to put shims down befor the cabinets, and then check all 4 corners of each cab as I move along. Just sit the Gizmo a little higher than the cabs, run a tape from the floor to the beam (or from the cab top), and shim til everything reads the same. It works especially well for the cabinet fronts, where it's awkward to work off a line.
Batteries last a long time if you remember to turn it off when you don't need it, and the pole is handy, but I hardly ever use it. It's as accurate as the Stabilas I have. It is very hard to see in very bright light, but there's ways to deal with that. My biggest problem with it is staying out of the way of the beam, dang thing's always shooting me in the back of the head<G>
