I’m installing a wood floor by floating it as opposed to nailing it down & was wondering what the best glue is for this type of application.
The flooring is a 1/2″ thick unfinished maple and I’ll be laying it over a radiant floor that has the tubing installed between wood sleepers. Since I picked the materials up at an auction I don’t have the benefit of the manufacturers instructions, & I was hoping for some input as to what kind of glue holds up well for this type of install from someone with some practical experience.
Any other suggestions for this type of installation would be appreciated.
Thanks in advance for any help.

If you know the name of it, go to their website.
*If you're refering to strip flooring that you want to glue together over a radiant system, stop right there and forget it.If you're refering to engineered flooring that's another matter. Run of the mill wood glue, 3500lb stuff will do fine.Gabe
*You can't float a genuine solid wood floor. The shrinking and swelling across the width of the boards with the seasons is too much. If the glue really could hold it together you'd loose and gain several inches in width across the floor each season.
