Glue in the T & G joint or just on the floor joist ?
Sorry to start a new thread … wanted to make sure you guys saw I had another question.
I just watched a few videos and read the installation instructions for AdvanTech
On one video the guys put glue in the T & G joint.
I don’t see this on other videos or in the instructions … only on the joist.
So do I put glue in the T & G groove ?
Thanks so much again !!!!!!!!

Hey there, Glue is not required by code in the groove or even on top of the joists. I've always glued the tops of the joists with PL and rarely glued the groove on Advantech and have never had a single squeak (really all the glue is needed for). Some builders advocate against gluing the groove if the building will see lots of wet weather before being dried-in so the subfloors can possibly drain and not swell at the seams.
Awesome!
This is actually a large workshop (3500 sq ft lower ... 1200 attic ... 16 ft walls). I am not really worried about squeaks, just want it to be as strong as possible.
Thus the 16" TJI's on 12" centers (software says it will hold over 100 lbs per sq ft).
I am a sloooooow builder (this is my second year at it) ... this I figured it was worth the extra $'s on advantech ... probably will take me a few month to get these trusses up myself .... and a few more months after that to get a roof on it.
