Anyone ever have any luck using these on a low slope (3-1/4 pitch) steel roof, when glued on the painted steel using the recommended adhesive?

Very fragil... glue doesn't hold...
Gotta go mechanical...
Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming....
WOW!!! What a Ride!
Any recommendations as to brand/fsteners for the mechanical type?
All the ones that work around here are home made pieces of angle with blob of roof cement under them and fastened with neo washered TEK screws...

Here's what I use. The RT type have set screws that clamp them to the seam. Installing a hidden fastner metal roof and then making holes in it is nonsensical at best.

A flea market in the next town over installed a few hundred of these last winter on their metal roof, with silicone caulking. This Spring, it was "raining snow guards", I have about 200 I picked up off the ground, as "they don't work" according to the building's owner. I recall the plastic ones have 4 indents where stainless steel screws along with sealant is to be used to properly fasten them to the roof.Renaissance RestorationsVictorian Home Restoration Serviceshttp://www.renaissancerestorations.com
